Field of Asphodel (Graphic Novel)
- Working closely with a concept artist to derive 3D equivalents from 2D design work, anticipating and implementing elements to accommodate transition between the two mediums working
within a 10-12 day time deadline
- Referencing multiple sources (photographs, sketches, the internet) to model, texture and light environments, set elements, character props and character costumes for a graphic novel due
for release in Fall ‘09
- Modeling objects and sets of varying degrees of complexity and resolution while maintaining
high levels of accuracy and working in a timely manner
- Conferencing with client and concept artist then performing UV layouts and painting textures
for a variety of objects and surfaces
- Creating shader networks using a variety of shader utilities and techniques thereby ensuring
final assets mirrored design concepts
- Optimizing personal workflow to accommodate tight production time constraints for design
and render work flow
- Maintaining naming and organization of assets in order to facilitate a production pipeline
Rotoscope Artist DEEP MAGIC (IMAX), Toronto, Ontario 2008
- Rotoscoping and keying live action footage with high levels of accuracy under tight time restrictions resulting in mats for use in a feature length film
